Greek Philosophy (600 B.C.) was the cornerstone for the Western 
world’s philosophies. Early Greek philosophy focused on the nature of 
the world. When civil unrest began to grow in the Greek Empire, 
individuals became worried about their security. This shift was reflected 
in the later, more individualistic Greek philosophies of Epicureanism, 
Skepticism, Stoicism and Cynicism.
